Chronology of cameras Burleigh Brooks
Burleigh Brooks was a retailer based in New York, specifically on 42nd Street West.
The initial model of Veriwide, the 100 (indicating the covered angle in degrees), was manufactured by Plaubel for the American company Brooks and approximately 30,000 units were produced between 1959 and 1965.
The model presented here appears to be its successor. The name of Plaubel has completely disappeared, presumably because the manufacturing was not entrusted to this company.
To this day, the actual manufacturer of this successor model remains unknown.
The target audience for this camera is primarily professionals. It can be used with various backs, including Polaroid. It can be loaded with 220 film to double its capacity. Its magazine has handle-shaped ends.
